Citation-ready summary:
On 1 June 2026, NeuralAdX Ltd tested the query “What is the cost of generative engine optimisation in the UK?” across Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and ChatGPT. NeuralAdX Ltd surfaced in first position in Google AI Mode with nine domain citations and one brand mention, and in first position in Microsoft Copilot with three domain citations and one brand mention. Perplexity and ChatGPT did not select NeuralAdX Ltd as the final answer, but the brand was still present in their source or consideration sets.
Platform-by-Platform Results
The table below converts the video findings into a structured, AI-readable results summary. It separates selected-answer visibility from source-level visibility so that the result is not overstated.
| AI platform | Selected-answer result | Domain citations / sources | Brand mentions | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google AI Mode | NeuralAdX Ltd surfaced in first position. | Nine domain citations recorded in the video. | One brand mention recorded. | Strongest result in this test, with dominant citation visibility. |
| Microsoft Copilot | NeuralAdX Ltd surfaced in first position. | Three domain citations recorded in the video. | One brand mention recorded. | Strong selected-answer visibility and source visibility. |
| Perplexity | NeuralAdX Ltd was not selected as the surfaced answer. | NeuralAdX Ltd appeared in the source or consideration set, but was not applied as a visible domain citation in the selected answer. | No selected-answer brand mention recorded. | Evidence of retrieval presence, but weaker answer selection. |
| ChatGPT | NeuralAdX Ltd was not selected as the surfaced answer. | Four NeuralAdX Ltd source pages were identified in the sources used by ChatGPT. | No selected-answer brand mention recorded. | NeuralAdX Ltd was in the source set, but lost the final synthesis step to a competitor. |
Why This High-Intent GEO Pricing Test Matters
The tested prompt is commercially important because it reflects buyer-stage demand. A user asking about the cost of generative engine optimisation in the UK is not only researching a definition; they are assessing pricing, providers and buying options. For that reason, visibility in this type of AI-generated answer can influence which agencies enter the prospect’s shortlist.
This video also shows why AI visibility measurement needs to separate several different outcomes: being retrieved as a source, being cited as a domain, being mentioned as a brand, and being selected as the final recommended answer. NeuralAdX Ltd performed strongly in Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, while Perplexity and ChatGPT demonstrated that retrieval presence does not always guarantee answer selection.

Hello and welcome back. It’s Paul Rowe here, the founder, Chief Generative Engine Optimisation Officer, and CEO here at NeuralAdX Ltd.
So, we’re going to do yet another one of our live AI retrieval tests for the particular query: “What is the cost of generative engine optimisation in the UK?” We’ve done this test three times previously, starting back on 19 September 2025. So, we’re going to commence it today for the fourth test, being 1 June 2026.
Let me just show you the top right-hand corner of the screen. If you can see the date there, we’re going to run this test through the four main AI platforms that we test on, which are Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and ChatGPT. So, if we put our eyes on the screen, I’ve got everything set up. I’m just going to paste in the particular search query, and let’s see how well we do. So, off we go.
Okay. Well, straight away there in Google AI Mode, it is a fantastic result to see that NeuralAdX Ltd has come up as number one, with a domain citation there. And if you can see, that is linked across to the knowledge panel or source panel on the right-hand side, where we’re coming up as a reference there. So, let’s just count our actual domain citations.
We’ve got one, two, three, four, five, six domain citations, seven domain citations, eight domain citations. That is pretty incredible. So, eight, and there’s another one down here. So, that’s nine domain citations that we’ve acquired there.
Now, let’s look at the actual brand mentions. Let’s go through the actual content and see where our name has been written. Reading through that, it appears just this one here has the actual brand mention. Although this does correlate with our current findings, because brand mentions have reduced. But I think that’s something that has changed in the algorithms of the AI platforms, because it seems to be universal for ourselves and our competitors.
So, okay. Well, that’s still brilliant. We’re surfacing in first place in Google AI Mode, with nine domain citations and one brand mention. So, let’s have a look at how we perform in Microsoft Copilot. Enter that.
It’s taking a little bit more time than usual. Here we go. Where’s a domain citation? Show us. Yes, absolutely fantastic. So, as we can see here, straight away in the first paragraph, NeuralAdX Ltd is the first domain citation.
Moving further down. Wonderful. We have a brand mention here, and we come up at number one in the price breakdown list. So, we have yet another domain citation. That’s two domain citations and one brand mention.
Moving further down, it’s taking a bit of time for it to do its processing today. Microsoft Copilot, that’s unusual. Come on. Seriously. Right, and another domain citation at the bottom. So, I think that’s three domain citations and one brand mention. Let me double-check. One, two, and three. And the brand mention, of course, was here.
Okay, fantastic. Well, so far, so good. Number one in the first two platforms, so I’m very pleased with that. Let’s see what Perplexity comes back with. Can I see our little icon coming up there? Oh no. First Page Sage has come up there, unfortunately.
Okay, it looks like we have to do a bit more optimisation in regard to Perplexity. Then you have other agencies. Other agencies. And unfortunately, NeuralAdX Ltd has not surfaced on this occasion. Are we in any of the sources? Oh yes, we are in one of the sources.
So there is a domain source reference. Well, no, it makes up one of the sources, but it hasn’t applied us as a domain citation, unfortunately. But we are in the consideration set. So at least that’s something. We’re not totally invisible, but we don’t seem to have a dominant presence for that query in Perplexity at this point in time.
So now we’ll go into ChatGPT and see what the feedback is. Okay, unfortunately in ChatGPT, it is not ourselves surfacing in the first position. It is an alternate agency. I can’t see anything mentioned to do with us. If we go into the sources. Aha. If we see the fourth source, we are located there, and in the ninth source as well.
So you see, we were in there. And there are another two sources from us. So that’s four source pages that ChatGPT has used to process the query and come back with an answer. But unfortunately, we didn’t get selected. But again, we were in the running.
So at the very, very worst, we’re still in the minds of the AI engines. It’s just that last synthesising process where they’ve concluded to use a competitor. Maybe that could be due to recency, in terms of updating the article, or other factors. But nonetheless, unfortunately, we didn’t surface in ChatGPT.
So, we started out incredibly well in Google AI Mode. We were number one and very dominant, with nine domain citations and one brand mention. In Microsoft Copilot, we were number one again, with three domain citations and one brand mention. But then in Perplexity and ChatGPT, we didn’t surface as the selected answer.
So I think that’s a bit of a reduction in performance from our previous testing. But still, at least we are visible in the AI engines. They are very aware of our presence, and they are referencing us in regard to this commercial-intent query. So, that is a positive. But as ever, there’s always more optimisation to be done.
Okay, guys. Thank you for watching this, and I’ll see you in the next one. Take care. Bye-bye.
